Reeflowers Pearl White Sand

ReeFlowers Pearl White Sand is a natural pure white sand containing calcium. It acts as a natural buffer to water hardness due to its calcium and carbonate content helping to create a natural environment for aquarium inhabitants. It may be used in saltwater aquariums Tanganyika Lake aquariums Malawi/Victoria Lake aquariums and other aquariums that require high pH values. When ReeFlowers Pearl White Sand is added to the aquarium water some parts of it may dissolve helping to stabilize your aquariums pH level between 8.1 - 8.4. This helps to create the optimum environment for nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria helping to clean water. 10 kg of ReeFlowers Pearl White Sand forms an area approximately 3cm high sand on a 50x50 base.Its recommended that the sand be thoroughly rinsed before introduction into the aquarium during both initial installation and during sand refills to compensate for the sand lost over time if turbidity is to be avoided and that ReeFlowers AquaClear be used after introduction of sand. Presence of dust in the sand is due to its natural formation whereby the dust has exactly the same content as sand grains therefore its harmless.
